Writing A Biology Term Paper

Biology is in the science field of academics. A well written scientific paper must most importantly explain the intention or motivation of the writer in a clear and concise manner. The main aim of biology papers just like all scientific papers is to inform the readers about an important issue and document the approach used to investigate the issue.  Biology paper should be presented in good English just like in all other disciplines. In the presentation of the information, a standard format must be observed to allow clear and concise information presentation. The general organization of a biology paper is one with introduction, body and conclusion. In the introduction, one is called upon to show the direction of their current study by discussing the results and conclusions of previously published studies.  Introduction in biology papers is organized flowing from general to specific information with the background summarized in a few word not details.

One is also required to limit the introduction to just studies that directly relate to current study. In the last statement of the introduction for biology papers, one should provide an objectives’ statement and a statement of the hypothesis. Generally, citations are allowed in the introduction to serve as evidence for one’s claims. Provide full citations in the literature cited section. The body of the biology paper provides all the research details. During research, information useful to one’s biology paper is sought and one must choose only the information that suits the biology paper at hand. Research will be done in books, articles, encyclopedias, and magazines etc that are devoted to the topic. All necessary references must be included in the works cited section of one’s biology paper. The body section should be provided as a narrative and not as a list of instructions. In the last paragraph of body section, one is advised to provide a brief description of statistical tests used. Results of statistical tests must be presented and interpreted here. In the conclusion section of a biology paper, one is free to explain the meaning of results and how they differ from other people’s results.

The discussion part comes immediately after the introduction and it is here that the reader should find all the facts as relates to the topic of the biology paper. For all biology papers, the discussion should contain all the facts presented in an easy to read format. The writer should argue all his or her points in a logical format which should guide the reader to the conclusive part of the biology paper. The conclusion is nothing more that a recap of the main highlights of the biology papers.
